Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
The short version: Ardenta is built to keep your data private. Everything you log — workouts, nutrition, body metrics, and health information — stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud account. We run no analytics and use no third-party tracking. The one exception is the optional Enhanced AI feature (on by default, switchable in Settings): when it is on, the meal, activity, or machine-console photo (or description) you log is sent to our backend and to Google's Gemini — see “Camera & photos” below. You can turn it off to keep all food analysis on your device.
Health & medical disclaimer
Ardenta is a fitness and wellness app for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The scores, calculations, and recommendations it shows — including calorie targets, BMI, body composition, body age, and wellness scores — are estimates based on published formulas and the information you enter. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Always consult a qualified physician or healthcare provider before starting any diet, exercise, or weight-loss program and before making any medical decisions. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something in this app. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.
Citations for the health formulas we use (for example Mifflin–St Jeor for calories and the WHO classification for BMI) are available in the app under Settings → Legal → Health & Safety.
This Privacy Policy is provided in English and Thai. If there is any discrepancy between the two versions, the English version prevails.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Ardenta app (“Ardenta,” “the app,” “we,” “us”) handles information. It applies to the Ardenta application for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
1. Who we are
Ardenta is an independent fitness and wellness app. You can reach us any time at m.jarruspong@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
We do not collect any personal data. Ardenta has no user accounts and no sign-in. You can use the app without giving us any information. We do not have access to the data you enter, and it is never transmitted to us.
3. Data you create in the app
To do its job, Ardenta stores the information you enter locally on your device. This can include:
- Profile details you provide (such as age, height, weight, and goals)
- Workouts, plans, sets, reps, and exercise history
- Nutrition, calorie, macro, and water logs
- Body composition metrics (body fat, muscle, visceral fat, BMR), BMI, Body Age, and your Health Score
- App settings, reminders, and preferences
This data lives in the app's on-device database. It stays on your device unless you enable iCloud sync (see below), in which case it is also stored in your own private iCloud account. We never receive a copy.
4. Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you grant permission, Ardenta can read and write data through Apple's HealthKit to power your rings, analytics, and Health Score:
- Read: activity, steps, energy, heart rate, sleep, weight, body composition, and related metrics — processed only on your device.
- Write: water intake and, optionally, completed workouts back to Apple Health.
HealthKit data is used solely to provide app features on your device. In line with Apple's requirements, we never use Health data for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it or share it with third parties. You can review or revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
5. Camera & photos
Ardenta can use your camera or photo library for these optional features: recognizing food to estimate calories and macros, reading an activity or cardio-machine console to log a workout, and scanning a smart-scale/InBody photo to log body stats. The smart-scale/InBody scan is processed on your device with Apple's Vision framework and is not uploaded. Food and activity recognition use Enhanced AI, which is on by default and can be switched off in Settings → AI Analysis: while it is on, the meal, activity, or machine-console photo (or description) you log is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend and to Google's Gemini model to estimate nutrition or read the activity, and the result is cached briefly (about 30 days), keyed to the content and not to you — there is no account and it is not used to identify you. Turn Enhanced AI off to keep food and activity recognition on your device (Apple Vision), with no upload. You control camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings.
6. iCloud sync
iCloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on, Ardenta uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your devices through your private iCloud database. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to us. You can disable sync at any time in the app's settings.
7. Purchases
Ardenta offers an optional premium subscription and a lifetime purchase through Apple's App Store. Payments and billing are handled entirely by Apple — we do not see or store your payment information. Purchase validation uses Apple's StoreKit on your device. Refunds and subscription management are handled through your Apple Account.
8. No tracking & no third parties
Ardenta contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not track you across apps or websites, so App Tracking Transparency is not required. The one third party we rely on is Google, and only for the optional Enhanced AI feature: when it is on, the meal, activity, or machine-console photo (or description) you log is processed by Google's Gemini to estimate nutrition or read the activity (see “Camera & photos”). We never sell your data, and Google processes these requests as our service provider — not tied to an account or used to identify you.
9. Children's privacy
Ardenta is rated 4+ and is intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted, no personal data of children is gathered.
10. Your control & rights
Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, you are always in control:
- Delete any entry within the app at any time.
- Remove all app data by deleting the app from your device.
- Turn iCloud sync on or off, and manage iCloud data in iOS Settings.
- Grant or revoke Health, camera, and photo permissions in iOS Settings.
If you are covered by privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA: since we do not collect, process, or store your personal data on our own systems, we do not hold any personal data about you to access, correct, export, or erase. Your data is in your hands on your own devices and iCloud account.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data — for example, if a future version adds an optional online feature — we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate, surface the change in the app.
